Post office Fixed Deposit New Rules 2023 | Premature close of 5 Year Time Deposit - Clerification

 Time Deposit 5-

        A 5-year TD account cannot be prematurely closed till the completion of four years from the date of deposit. In case of pre-mature closure of a 5-year TD account after four years, interest shall be payable at the interest rate applicable to the Post Office Savings Account scheme.

    This new rule will be applicable to those accounts that will opened after 10-11-2023. account opened before 10.11.2023 can be closed after six months. find the below clarification as per SB order Number 22/2023(Corrigendum).
